Reads the person's own OneDrive every morning and keeps My files current. Their important papers and the dates in them, what family and friends shared, where they left off, what is open to anyone, and what fills their OneDrive.
OneDrive for Personal
Your own OneDrive, sorted. Every morning at 7 it reads your OneDrive and shows:
- Shared with you: what family, friends and school shared with you.
- Where you left off: the files you worked on lately, one tap away.
- What fills your OneDrive: your storage and the biggest files in it, before it fills up.
On Sundays it checks what is open to anyone with the link, the private files first. On the 1st of the month it finds your important papers (passport, ID, insurance, the house, the car, taxes) and the dates in them: what expires, renews or ends.
Then you can just ask. "Where is my passport scan?" "When does the car insurance renew?" The answer names the file and where it is.
To start
Open My files and press Connect OneDrive. You sign in with Microsoft, once. Until then the page shows a made-up person, clearly marked.
For now OneDrive works in the Cabinet app on your computer.
It only reads
My files never changes, moves, shares or deletes a file in OneDrive. When something needs fixing (a passport open to anyone, a OneDrive almost full), it shows you where, and you do it in OneDrive.
Inside
- My files: the app this cabinet opens on, and what you told it about you.
- Reports: one page per morning, the Sunday sharing check, the monthly papers, and the lists you ask for, like what expires this year.
